The Department was initially started with moderate infrastructure and, the number of seats sanctioned by university was only thirty six. As a result of the initiative taken by the management for the development of the laboratory and the library facilities in an uncompromised manner, the Department of Electronics is presently at the top of the ladder in the Guntur city. As a byproduct the well equipped lab supported by expert faculty the department began to generate excellent academic records within no time of its inception. Moreover, Acharya Nagarjuna University was kind enough in enhancing the seats from thirty six to sixty (currently) over period of three years from 1988. Presently the B.Sc. Maths, Physics, Electronics combination has 180 students over three years uniformly. The B.Sc. Maths, Electronics, Computer Science course was started during the academic year 1999-2000.
The faculty members and Head Sri Boddupalli.Srinivasa Rao are working with dedication. The Department has all essential laboratory test and measuring instruments like cathode ray oscilloscopes , signal generators, regulated power supplies and digital IC tester.
Some lecturers have actively involved in the academic activities like paper setting, external practical examiner, paper valuation of the university examination etc.
